M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), created by an act in the State of Karnataka, India, came into existence in December 2013. The University is sponsored by Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) trust. The University was created by integrating the “M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management (1993), M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (1992), M.S. Ramaiah Dental College (1991) and the M.S. Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre (2012)”

Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) (GEF (M))
GEF(M) is a Public Charitable Trust established in the year 1980 with its head office at 

GEF Administrative Block,
Gnanagangothri Campus, 
New BEL Road, 
MSR Nagar, 
Bangalore- 560054.

Late Dr. M.S. Ramaiah, a philanthropist established the trust with the objective of establishing educational Institutions and provide affordable holistic healthcare for the betterment of mankind. At present, Dr. M. R. Jayaram, eldest son of Dr. M. S. Ramaiah is the Chairman of this trust and his family members are the advisors.


GEF (M) Institutions
GEF (M) was established in 1980, which has established and running several educational institutions. The Institutions that are founded and run by GEF (M) are:

3. M. S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital (2004)
4. M. S. Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre (2012)
5. M. S. Ramaiah Dental College (1991)
6. M. S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (1992)
7. International Medical School (2006)
8. M. S. Ramaiah Gokula Ayush Arogyadhama (2008)
9. M. S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management (1993)
10. M. S. Ramaiah Rehabilitation Centre (2012)
11. M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Neuro Sciences (2012)
12. M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research (1987)

13. M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Physiotherapy (1996)

In addition to the above, M.S. Ramaiah family have also established a trust by the name of Gokula Education Foundation in the year 1962 which has the following institutions under its umbrella:

The educational institutions under each trust are managed by a group of professionals, each group is headed by a Chief Executive. All MSR Institutions are located at the Gnanagangothri Campus, New BEL Road; MSR Nagar in the northwestern part of Bangalore City. The Institutions are very popular all over India and around 14000 students study in these institutions.

M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences was created in December 2013 by bringing together the following institutions that were being run by Gokula Education Foundation (Medical).
