The Faculty of Pharmacy (FPH) was earlier the M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy that was established in 1992. The Faculty offers a 4-year undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm.), a 2-year duration postgraduate programme leading to the Master of Pharmacy degree (M. Pharm.) and also a 6-year duration Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm. D).
The Undergraduate Programme in Pharmacy aims to impart a high-level of knowledge and skills in Pharmacy, coupled with general education. The combination of Pharmacy education and general coursework can provide a broad base of knowledge that can apply to pharmacy. The graduates produced will be able to meet the human resources requirement of pharmaceuitical industry.
Also the graduates will be able to create new formulations and take entrepreneurial route for their career advancement. Moreover, this acts as a first degree to develop further expertise in a chosen domain.
Bachelor of Pharmacy Eligibility:
Regular:
A pass in two year P.U.C examination of Karnataka P.U.C Board or an equivalent P.U.C / 10+ 2 examination of any other recognised Board or University with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.
Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
Lateral entry to Second year: Admission to II year/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) shall be open to candidates who hold a diploma in pharmacy.

M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), created by an act in the State of Karnataka, India, came into existence in December 2013. The University is sponsored by Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) trust. The University was created by integrating the “M.S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies (1999), M.S.
